Baby Powder To Relax Baby By poshpost on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I bought the Johnsons baby bedtime powder before I gave birth in order to give my baby a complete relaxing bath, as it complements her baby bath and lotion.

However, when I gave birth, her pediatrician forbid the use of baby powder on her because of the risk of allergies as I have a history of allergies.

So instead of giving it to my baby, I used it myself. I guess, for babies, it is not really safe to use powders on them, even those that were supposed to be created for them. It is the talc, because it is dusty, can easily get into the nostrils of babies and irritate them.

In my opinion, I have always liked Johnsons powder as compared to other brands. I use it sometimes on my face rather than face powder because it is fresh. I also use it on my chest and back and neck, especially if I am sweaty. Johnsons baby powder refreshes me. And with the lavender scent of the bedtime powder, I really smell good. I guess when my baby is older and would get really sweaty, that would be the time to use powder. For now, she has her VCO liquid powder. It is safer.
