Baby Signing Times Volume 1 Dvd By kateri27 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I wanted to be able to communicate with my daughter. I had read severl studies about teaching babies sign language, but was lost on what was the "best" video to use.

My friend recommended the Signing Times series Baby signing times. I started using it with my daughter several times a week when she was nine months old. She is now a year old and understands very basic signs such as ball, food, more, mommy and daddy.

This is a very basic cd, but it is fun and easy to watch. the songs kind of get stuck in your head, but if you can get past that you can teach your baby American Sign Language.

I found the instructor to be pleasant, and there are cartoons which keep baby entertained throughout. This video teaches children the following signs: eat, drink, cracker, water, cereal, milk, banana, juice, finished, mom, grandma, dad, grandpa, diaper, potty, more, bird, fish, cat, dog, horse, frog, hurt, and baby.

It is really cute watching my daughter enjoying these videos and starting to sign along!

Update Posted on :

My daughter still loves this video at eighteen months!
