The Back to Basics Ice Shaver is a really fun snow cone machine. This is the third one of these type products I have tried. It is by far the best of them in my opinion. It is so easy to use. You dump some ice cubes in the top. Lock the lid in place and it shaves the ice for you. You can make one or two snowcones at a time. I like the fact that I have used it multiple times now and have had no trouble with it what so ever. The other two machines I had, one from QVC and the Euro-Pro machine from Target, both broke with just a couple of uses. I have a 9 year old, so I also like that it is very safe. The lid locks on the top. It won't even turn on if it isn't locked. This prevents any fingers or hands from getting into the blades. My kid loves snow cones and it is just so much fun to make them at home for him and his friends. You can buy just about any flavor of syrup that you can think of to flavor the ice. Another nice feature is that this has two attached pump bottles to store your syrup. Great little machine!
