Back To School Blues? Try These Jeans By Mom2One on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Last August we did the dreaded back to school shopping. Now I don't know about other parents but I hate back to school shopping. It seems as my son gets older it gets harder and harder to find clothes that fit and look good on him.

Well, on this day we were mainly looking for some new jeans for the school year. We had gone to the mall so we could hit different stores. We tried on many and I mean many different style of jeans and brands of jeans. They were either too short, too long, too baggy, too tight, too big in the butt, etc. it was driving both me and my son crazy.

We were ready to call it a day when we walked by the Sears store. I told my son let's just try one more store. After I PROMISED him this would be the last store, we went in.

We came to this display of Canyon River Blues in the boys section. Now I don't shop at Sears often, and usually never for clothes, so never heard of this brand of jeans before.

I grabbed a size 12 and told my son to try it on. He just rolled his eyes and let us a big sigh. Who can blame him, this must have been his 15th pair trying on that day.

He walked into the dressing room and I was waiting for the "they don't fit" from the other side of the dressing room door. Instead I heard "Mom I think they fit"

I could not believe my ears, I told him to open the door so I could see. They did fit him perfectly and look great too!

I had him sit down, bend over, squat, etc, just to make sure they were comfortable and he said they were! Yeah

I quickly ran back out to the rack and grabbed up 6 Canyon River Blue jeans for the school year and called back to school shopping done.

The school year is almost up, just one week left, and these jeans have held up wonderfully. Everyone knows how rough an Eight year old boy can be on clothes and my son is no different. He loves to slide on his knees. These jeans still look good, some do have a slight fade to the knee area, but really not bad at all.

They are 100% cotton, boot cut and they come in your standard denim, stone wash denim and black.

They also come in slims, regulars and husky, sizes 8 - 20.

These jeans are just starting to get a tad short on my son, so this August we will have to go back to school shopping again, but we will go right to Sears and grab some Canyon River Blues and call it a day.

It is very true that as our kids get older, it is harder and harder to find clothes for them and they soon outgrow what we have bought for them.

Boys are soooo hard to find clothes for! It starts with the baby clothes and doesn't get any better even in the teen years :0( Sounds like yours is a real trooper though! Thanks for the info.

Well, we used to buy the Sears "Toughskin" jeans and know that they would make it through the school year. I wonder if these are the current iteration of that line. They sure sound like something the mom of any boys should check.

Good jeans at a good price. Can't ask for more than that!
