Backpack For Everyday Use By msculit on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My husband seldom buys bags. He does only when the need arises like few months ago, his favorite backpack finally gave up due to loose threads and malfunctioned zippers. He only bought himself a backpack then.

As the practical buyer that he is, my husband does not fall into the "brand" pit. He does not mind buying generic or even brandless products as long as the price is right and he is comfortable to use it. That is the case on this Track Kitbag Backpack which he bought.

The bag is said to be good for hiking as the packaging label says but for me, it does not look big enough to accommodate hiking kits. Althought it looks sturdy and has many straps, it also has a lot of compartments for small things you might want to carry. It has 2 side pockets for bottles too.

One good thing about this bag too is that at the button part is an extendable portion which you can zip and unzip if you wish to extend the capacity of the bag.

It comes in black, grey and royal blue with black tones on the side of the bag.

Overall, I think this bag can pass for a casual, daily backpack. As for the hiking part, my husband has yet to test if it can actually carry loads meant for hiking.

This would be a good pack for dayhikes. I particularly like the two outside mesh pockets for water bottles. Actually, I've been looking for one like this!
