Bake Sale Murder

This book, "Bake Sale Murder", was a real pleasure to read.It is dubbed "A Lucy Stone Mystery".Lucy Stone is the main character in the book.She works for the local Pennysaver writting mostly fluff articles.She also works with the hat and mitten commitee which holds bake sales in order to raise money for charity. This year the commitee takes on new members as Lucy gets new neighbors due to a large developement in her housing track. Some of her neighbors are quite difficult to deal with.Dealing with her new neighbors becomes the least of her problems when she starts to recieve unsigned letters at the Pennysaver about hazing at the local school.Of course she must investigate, the sleuth in her can not let this rest.She does not get very far with her search when she finds the dead body of one of her new neighbors.She soon starts to recieve threats herself.Small at first, then all her tires get slashed next thing you know she is almost killed.This book, though about something so dark, has a comical way about it.In the very back of the book there are the recipies for all the items that the ladies had made for the bake sale.I thought this was a nice touch.A great story and cute book.
