Reviewing: Kitchen Aid Artisan 5 Quart Stand Mixer

We got this black beauty as a housewarming gift. When I was younger my mom had one & it was really cool but, when we moved she gave it away.Since I lost out on inheriting my moms, I was super happy to get this as a gift & not have to shell out a couple hundred bucks. This new mixer we got has is pretty fantastic. It comes with a flat beater, dough hook, wire whip & pouring shield (it helps when pouring in flour.)It's pretty solid & sturdy.Well, when we opened it up I was pretty tired so my husband took it upon himself to be our pastry chef & bake us all some chocolate chip cookies.I washed the bowl & all the utensils before he started. Then all he had to do was put everything in the bowl & switch the knob to the setting 1.He gradually moved the speeds up until it was all mixed well. Then he spooned the dough on to the cookie sheet & baked it.The instructions said it cannot be put in the dishwasher so I ended up washing the bowl & all the utensils again. The cookies were delicious & soft & perfect with milk but, like I said earlier I was tired & I think I got the short end of the stick because the mixer made it so easy for him. It's so easy to work even your husband can do the baking! We also found that there's attachments that you can buy to make pasta, ice cream, & sausage with.

I love KtichenAid products! This sounds like a great mixer, and they are usually expensive, so how nice to get one for a gift!

I'd be lost without my Kitchen-aid. It has more miles on it than my car.
