We were quite surprised a few years back when our mortgage company sent us a letter informing us they no longer were offering home owners insurance and we were on our own to find a carrier. We panicked a bit because there was a limited time frame of when we needed the coverage or they would be charging us an arm and a leg through our mortgage. We luckily found Balboa insurance. I was very worried this would be out of my price range and it was the first time for us it wouldn't be escrowed so that worried me as well. I was immediately put at ease by their fabulous customer service over the phone. They walked me through the policy, gave me the coverage I needed and gave mean outstanding price for the year. When I asked them about payment plans they also were able to separate it so I only had to pay 200 dollar payments 4 times a year which was in our budget. I have luckily never had a claim through them but in dealing with them through my customer service calls I am confident in their ability to handle our claims if we have on in the future. I can't say enough positive things about this insurance company.
