Balls of Fury

Balls of Fury is an absolutely preposterous and ridiculous film. This movie is not an in depth comedy. You have to realize this before you watch it. If you watch it knowing that its going to be in your face comedy, then you will enjoy it.

I think the performer who real shines in this film is James Hong. He plays Master Wong the blind ping-pong teacher and uncle to Maggie Q's Maggie Wong. His fortune cookie type one-liners and slapstick humor make this film. Maggie Q does a good job, but then she looks fantastic. Christopher Walken was somewhat disappointing as the bad guy, though.

If you liked Shaolin Soccer, or Reno 911 then you will enjoy this type of comedy. Its very campy, and the use of martial arts makes it a must see for kungfu enthusiasts. Anyone expecting more than crude comedy for cheap laughs will be disappointed. I however was expecting exactly that and I enjoyed it completely. There are better comedies out there, but this is fun and will probably not harm you.
