When regular combs failed to help reduce our cats' shedding, I went and bought this professional de-shedding tool - Bamboo FurBuster. This tool looks somewhat like a razor with replaceable blade. The "blade" is a sturdy stainless steel comb that is indeed replaceable: you can remove it from the holder by pressing a button. These "blades" are available in three sizes that can be purchased separately. So far, we have only used the standard one, which worked great for us, so we do not plan on getting the other ones for now.

I brought the new purchase home and immediately tried it. We were amazed to see how much loose hair this FurBuster got out of the cats! I knew they were shedding, but I had no idea how bad they needed a good combing. My wife could probably make a sweater out of the fur we got out of them, and they are *not* longhair cats! So the FurBuster does its job very well. Our cats loved it, too, they purred up a storm in the process. If you could use some professional help with your pet's shedding, go for this FurBuster.
