Band-It Garters for Your Trash Cans!

I love these bands to hold plastic bags in place, and this one came with a bonus holder so that the band wont fall to the floor when you change bags.

Checking out at the hardware store I noticed a package of these elastic loops. Our most recent one had worn out, so I picked up the package. Then I saw that it had not only two bands, but one of them had a small ring attached, with a sticky back. You peel the backing and stick the holder to the side of your trash can and then the band wont be falling down if you move things around or replace the bag.

This package had two rings. The one that has the holder attached is for large cans (20-32 gallon), and there is also a smaller band that is about 28 inches in circumference (5-15 gallon cans).

Both bands are made like heavy pony tail holders, over 1/8 inch diameter, with thread wrapped around an elastic core, and secured with a metal ferrule.

I know this is a very small item, but I was impressed.Ive previously purchased some of these that werent much more than large rubber bands. And Ive certainly never had one with a bracket to hold it in place. When I can end one small frustration for a couple of bucks I am very happy!

I didn't know they actually had a product like this. I used a bunge cord on my trash can and got the same results. I'll go check these out because they look a bit nicer than what I'm using!

Oooh, I love the idea of garters for your trash cans. What aisle in the hardware store did you find these. We don't have a Briggs and I haven't seen these at our store before, just need to know where to look.

Briggs is the local franchise of Tru-Value, which is a national chain. These were on a display at the checkout. I've also gotten cheaper ones in aisle "extra" racks at grocery stores, but those were lower quality. These are made by Hold It Products, Walled Lake, MI www.holditproducts.com 888-766-4742

This is just plain smart design. I love it Sharkey. I'll check my local Ace/TruValu to locate these. Thank you my friend:)
