Band Of Brothers Dvd By Joshuah Hess By Joshuah Hess on - Updated Sep 26, 2011

This series presented by Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg is an amazing portrait of the evolution of a company (Airborne) from basic to the end of World War II. Realistic acting from relativity unknown actors make this even more of an experience.

The DVD case is a tin box that has a very antiquated look to it, resembling the era. The extras include interviews with surviving members of Easy Company. The series does not glorify violence and war; moreover, it displays the reality this group of Airborne soldiers were faced with daily, whether it is an incompetent officer during basic training or the invasion of Normandy.

The sound is great, as well are the visuals. This is a must-see series for anyone interested in military history.
