Barbie Cd Karaoke Machine Not So Good By Lorianna on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
A friend of mine bought this cute little karaoke machine for their 5 year old daughter. It's called "Barbie" and it's pink, what else can a girl want?
The girl did like it very much when she first saw it. She loved the design, the two microphones, and the echo effect that can be delayed in various extents, she thought it was very cool. However, the echo effect was only discovered on the third CD they tried to play as the machine would not play the first two. This continued to be a problem: the machine turned out to be very picky about what CD's it likes, refusing to play many of them.
The machine has to separate volume controls for music and voice, but the music is never loud enough, even if you turn the volume all the way up.
My friend ended up returning this karaoke machine. Another drawback she has mentioned is that no cord was included, so as soon as the batteries died she'd have to shop for a cord.
Barbie CD Karaoke Machine

That's really too bad. We were looking to get one similar to this for the kids. If it's not going to work with certian CD formats then it's no good for us. Thanks.
Someone tried to capitalize on the Barbie theme and forgot that it was supposed to be about electronics too!
Good warning for parents who might be tempted to buy this.
It does looks cool but sorry to hear that it is not working well.
That's too bad that it isn't working. Sounds like it would be lots of fun for kids!
That's no good. It would be an ideal gift for girls if only it works well.
Thanks for saving me from buying. Appreciate it.
