Bath and Body Works Blackberry Amber
By Cindy Leggett onThis is a wonderful scent to wear during the cool days of Fall and Winter. At first, I wasn't too sure whether or not I was going to like Blackberry Amber. When trying a new scent, I always like to spray some on in the store, and then continue my shopping to give the scent time to dry, as all perfume/cologne/eau de toilettes smell different in the bottle than they do after they have been on your skin for a little while. Straight from the bottle, this scent smelled a little like men's cologne, so the test was necessary!
If you like blackberries, you are going to love this! The top notes of this scent are what you smell first - blackberry, dewberry, and red raspberry. The mid notes are what you smell after the scent has been on your skin for around 30 to 45 minutes. They are - jasmine, heliotrope flower, and carmel. Lastly, the base notes - what mixes with the two notes above and rounds out the fragrance - vanilla, amber, sandalwood, patchouli, and musk. The end result is a scent that will remind you of a warm, spicy blackberry tart, yet it isn't too fruity. It's a rather sophisticated scent that lasts for hours and hours, and should get you a ton of compliments!
This scent seemed to sell out within hours of it being in my local BBW. I was lucky to get one bottle of the lotion! For me, it's one of the more interesting scents from BBW.
