Bathroom mirror reflects my taste
By JPnMO onIn my small bathroom, storage space is at a premium, so I was thrilled to find a mirror that gave me one more shelf.
After remodeling my bathroom, the last item I needed was a mirror. I had no idea it would be so hard to find what I wanted. It had to be basic and simple, yet pretty. After visiting every store in town I could think of and hours of searching stores and ebay online, I had about given up. Then, I saw it. The only problem was that it was an online item only and I couldn't see it in person. I normally wouldn't agree to try it because if I dislike it, shipping it back would be costly and a hassle. But, Home Depot had agreed to let me return it to the store if I didn't want it. What did I have to lose?
When the mirror arrived, I loved it. The bottom shelf is optional and my husband wanted to leave it off. No way was I agreeing to that. I wanted every bit of shelf space I could get and I liked the look of the shelf on it anyway. It reminds me of older style mirrors, which I love.
There is trim around the sides, plus a wider, carved piece across the top. The top piece isn't really wide enough to put something on unless it was something unbreakable. I may try putting greenery up there to see if I like it. The mirror and walls are not much different in color. I had wanted a mirror with very white trim and this is more of an antique white. I considered painting it, but actually like this color.
The bottom shelf has room for small items. I have a few bottles of perfume on there and it's a great place to lay jewelry.
I'm extremely happy with this mirror and it was worth all the time and effort it took for me to find it.
