First purchased this quite a while ago when a family members electric chair built in charger would not charge the chairs batteries. They had been sitting too long for built in charger in the chair to bring back the batteries to life Hooked this charger up for a few hours and that did the trick.This has been my first experience with a battery charger of this type and it sure appears the Schumacher company did a nice job on this model. It seems to be ideal for charging car batteries, suv light truck, lawn tractor, farm equipment, rv, deep cycle, atv, snowmobile batteries etc .It has a couple of settings for charging. A 6 amp medium charge for 6-8 hours and 2 amp slow charge for 2-12 hours. Obviously nice to have on hand for situations where batteries need a boost to get them back to life again. i don't mind saying that this charger looks pretty heavy duty. It is built with the quality of a tank. The price of about 30 dollars was quite the bargain as far as I am concerned. I considered bringing it back to the store after I recharged the batteries but decided I would be better off keeping it just in case of any other possible issues.
