Battlefield 1942 has to be one of my favourite games of all time. Although it is almost 5 or 6 years old, in which games usually seem terrible in comparison to new generation games, battlefield doesn't. I had been craving playing battlefield for over a month and finally bought it off Ebay (extremely cheap) and it is still the most brilliant game that it was back then. The graphics seem good even for todays games, it doesn't lack content, with massive maps, awesome vehicles: tanks, planes and cars, while also having great weapons. Battlefield is awesome multiplayer (lan or net) but if you can't play over the net you can simply play with bots that have an adjustible difficulty level that suits your ability which is great. The campaign side of the game is pretty sweet too, although it doesn't have clips or a real story line to follow, you have to play out the same campaigns from WWII and rewrite history. Battlefield 1942 is one of the best PC games, even today and I would reccommend it for anyone surfing for a new (or in this case, old) game.
