Battleship By Olin Froid on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Battleship, by Hasbro is a game that lets you design your own arrangement of your fleet of ships, and pit it against an opposing player on the other side of your "wall" that separates you. The set up of your naval fleet of ships is then "bombed" one by one as the players alternate. Call out the longitude and latitude to determine where to start you bombing of enemy ships. The game requires the child that plays it to become strategic in the areas you hit and the possibilities of hitting at another time on the same ship. The greatest factor of the Battleship game is the ability to flex up the board and bend it in two, and then your can carry the game and make it portable like a suitcase. Overall, a fun game to enjoy between two players.

I had no idea this game existed as a board game! We used to play it as kids (often at school, during some boring classes :) but we just drew the fleet on a piece of paper, marking longitude and latitude with numbers and letters.
