The accuracy of a thermometer is very important especially in the early months or the baby. We just have a very bad experience with the bad accuracy of a thermometer that send us to the hospital thinking our baby was so sick and it was just found so fine and healthy, that we just learn a lesson. Don't buy cheap thermometers, our cheap thermometer was a nightmare; to take the temperature it was a battle with our baby because it takes to long to take the temperature that our baby's not comfort position makes him cry and scream a lot. It just was very difficult because he is too active to be still for long. With the BD Rapid Digital Thermometer all are different now; it takes the temperature in a fast 9 seconds. The flexible tip doesn't hurt the baby when taking rectal temperature. It features a large and easy-to-read night light display that helps a lot. It can be switched to Celsius or Fahrenheit very easily. My experience with the BD Rapid Digital Thermometer is a good one and is the best I had so far.
