Be Happy In My Garden!
By Alice onI love to put statues in my garden. They add so much charm and I get so many comments on the different types that we have. The kids love these Disney characters the best.
We found these cement/concrete statues of Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck on a trip to the Shipshewana Flea market in Shipshewana, Indiana. As soon as I spotted them I know they belonged in my garden.
Each statue stands approximately 21 to 24 inches tall. They are made of cement/concrete so they will last indefinitely in your garden and stand up to rain, sleet or snow as mine have been subjected to.
Being Disney characters is perfect for our Disney loving family. All the neighborhood kids think they are the neatest thing they have seen.
For being made out of cement the detail is amazingly accurate. To keep them nice and clean looking my husband takes a brush and some soapy water and cleans the dirt off once a year.
We move them around to different places so my garden doesn't look the same all the time.Donald loves to sit on a porch step and at Halloween he wears a dragon costume and enjoys greeting all the trick and treaters.Mickey and Minnie weat witches hats.
These cement figurines were inexpensive, will last for a very long time and add so much to your yard decor.I highly recommend this type of statue over painted ones.No muss, no fuss, simple, yet very decorative.
If you'd like to check out the Shipshewana Flea Market for these they are open May through October each year on Tuesday and Wednesday.Have fun!
