Although I didn't find myself barreling over with laughter, I was still pleasantly surprised by this film. The film stars Jack Black who is known for his roles of hilarity, and Mos Def, hip-hop artist/ Actor. I actually found this film to be quite moving. There are the comedic parts also. The film is placed in a failing city neighborhood. Mos def is left in charge of an old time video store which carries mostly vhs while the owner is out of town to meet with bank owners and friends to try and save his building.

Jack Black, an old war vet who is a little off to say the least, had been exposed to high voltage causing him to be radio active. When he goes in to to video store his radio activeness erases all the tapes. Well with a camcorder and a great imagination the two of them and a new friend start remaking all the tapes. Soon the neighborhood joins in the fun and theese tapes are in high demand.

They are making money fast and are hopeful that they can save the building and the store. Well when the movie corporations catch wind of this they aren't happy and the whole thing crumbles. In a last effort everyone bands together to make one last film. One that just might proved the building to be a historical sight, therefore protecting the building from demolition.

Will they be able to save the building? You'll have to watch to find out. This is truly a touching film that will tug at your heart strings.
