Be secure with a car security system

While most cars come with a security system of some sort, I was still not confortable with mine. I mean, these days we have Satellite radios, some have DVD players, GPS units etc. Do you feel comfortable with a passive system installed right from from your dealers factory? I decided I would go looking for something more and that is when I found the Crime Guard 650i5. The first thing that caught my eye was the pricetag. The complete kit costs $149.99. It may seem quite steap but when you look at the total of all the audio/video electronics in your car, you realize it really isn't so bad.

The Crime Guard has a ton of features including some of these,

a dual-zone shock sensor that detects violations around your car's interior and exterior; two dual-zone impact sensor ports for expandability; a powerful siren that warns of an intrusion; a starter interrupt feature which shuts down ignition during unauthorized use. I love the starter interrupt feather, so someone can't steal your car! And the loud siren is enough to wake up the local Air National Guard!

Installation I would leave to a professional but shouldn't cost you alot of money to have it installed. But this is one nice security system! So if you want to protect your assets please take a look!

The Crime Guard security system sounds great. I think my car has a pretty good security system, but this would add extra protection. It's certainly worth checking into.

Sounds like a great system. I had a security system on my VW when I lived in Miami and it did not deter the criminals from breaking into my car....not at all:0( Still it is a good thing to have.

I like the fact that you suggested leaving the installation process to the professionals! This sounds like a fabulous system!

LOL BILL:):) I loved your comment. I like this Crime Guard package. I agree that you cannot and should not rely solely on factory pre installs.

Sad but true. We have so many electronics in our cars that we really need to protect them with a system. This would definitely scare away someone trying to break into your car. It must be really loud!

I agree with the above statement. We live outside of the city limits and have motion lights and dogs and we still have to lock our cars here, a better security system would ease the mind and probably even lower the insurance rate.

This does sound like a nice system and I really do not think that $150 is too much to pay to get a bumped up security system for your car. I do like the starter interruption feature. One thing that I do not see and I am not sure how pricey of a feature it would be is the one that gives you a beep on your actual key chain button so that when you are far enough away from your vehicle to not hear the siren you still know about it. I am not sure if it can be an add on but it is a feature that has been in the back of my mind since I heard about it.

totally agree...with all the expensive gadgets in cars these days a nice security system would be nice...too bad if someone tries to take your car there isn't police or something that rushes to it
