Beaustar Bt035 V020 S Review By lordofdarkness66 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Slim and lightweight, I was immediately attracted to this VCD player when i saw it. It plays compact discs of VCD, Audio CD and MP3 format. It comes with a black and white LCD display with a bright yellow light background thats extremely easy to read. The basic play, eject, stop and browsing buttons are located below the display. Two output posts are available so that the player can be fixed to a tv and an external amplifier. Two microphone slots are available too. The remote control holds the key to access many of the player's features. Amongst them are slow motion, play in reverse, video signal output change, volume control, point to point playback, muting etc. And to top it all off, all these features come at a very affordable price- $30. However the VCD player has some problems. Certain VCDs' audio quality suffers greatly. This is probably due to the audio format that cant be read by the VCD player because the problem persisted even after cleaning of the lens. The LCD display becomes damaged very quickly. Even though whatever is displayed on the LCD screen is displayed on the TV and therefore is quite useless, nevertheless I still didnt like the fact that it started displaying random characters after two months of usage. The microphone slots aren't of standard microphone port size so a resizer had to be bought. If you need a cheap VCD player that works most of the time and you can ignore these setbacks, then this is the one.
