Beep, Beep, Are You There? By Geralyn Hydock on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
If one has an invalid mother or father at home, it may be difficult for them to reach a phone or get out of bed. This is the time when wireless personal pagers really come in handy. My mother does not need one yet but when I worked as a private duty nurse, my patient had one that she could hang around her neck or place on the tabletop. It really came in handy when I was downstairs preparing her meals or getting her meds. She could get in touch with me immediately.
This pager is very reliable, affordable, and enables constant communication between you and whomever up to 100 feet apart. There is a push button that allows bedridden persons to summon for help uo to 100 feet away without having to leave their beds or raise their voices. A small transmitter sends an electronic signal to the receiver, notifying the caregiver that help is needed. These signals can be heard through most floors and walls. The receiver has a discreet chime or vibrating mode.
I love the fact that you can attach the pager to your clothes as it has a clip on it or you can display it on a tabletop as it converts to an easel. This product is FCC certified. The transmitter uses one 9 volt battery and the receiver uses two AA batteries. The dimensions are 3.5" W x 2.5" H x 1" D. The cord is 20" long.
Put your mind at ease if you have someone who needs help communicating with you. I highly recommend this product!
Active Forever Wireless Personal Pager

You made such a good point about giving this to a person who might be immobile-what a great idea to hang it from the neck!!
This sounds like a great product for elderly family members.
What a good use of this technology. Keeps you from having to hover, so the other person has just a little more space to call their own. Thanks!
What a great idea to use for people with limited mobility!
Glad you have a way to communicate with them.
I have lots of friends in health care that still use pagers too. And for those who are disabled or have limited mobility, good idea to keep them around.
