Before my hubby and I were married or even engaged for that matter, we would go into jewelry stores and just "window shop". We stepped into Belden Jewelers one day and I saw just the most beautiful diamond I had ever seen. The clarity was wonderful, the cut was wonderful, and the size was just perfect for my tiny fingers. The problem was the setting that it was put in. It really just did not go with the diamond all that well. I picked out a cathedral setting that the diamond would just look fantastic in.
That day that we went into Belden Jewelers was more of just a fantasy thing. Little did I know that my hubby would actually remember what I wanted! It turns out that he went back to Belden Jewelers by himself and had them put the diamond in the setting that I wanted. After he had proposed to me, I asked him how he was able to get them to do that for him. He said that they were very nice and extremely accommodating.
I love my ring and the diamond in it is certified. The gold is guaranteed so if for whatever reason, something happens to the gold setting, they will fix it for free. I also get my diamond inspected every six months because if it were to fall out (heaven forbid!) and get lost, they would replace the diamond with a same quality, cut, and size of my diamond.
We do all of our jewelry shopping at Belden Jewelers. The customer service is great and the jewelry selection is fantastic!

This sounds beautiful Sarah! I also have a protection plan for my rings. I actually lost a big stone out of it on vacation and couldn't find it. When I got back home, they replaced it for free! That's so awesome :)
This sounds like a similar experience we had with a local jewler, I love when a store and their staff do what you want or need done. That is one way to keep loyal customers :D

I would be too afraid to wear a $6,000 diamond, so the replacement guarantee is great, just in case the stone would fall out.

Wow sounds like a great jewelry store and a great husband!!! :o) My boyfriend and I have gone into jewelry stores and just "browsed." Of course he always laughs at the ones I point out because I have expensive taste. :o) Your ring sounds absolutely gorgeous and I like the idea of getting the diamond inspected and replaced in case it falls out. That is wonderful!
So sweet that your hubby remembered what you wanted - and got it for you! Great service from the jeweler as well. Love the 6 mo inspection too - replacement diamond in the same cut, clarity and size as the one you have! Excellent.
Aww so sweet of your hubby. That makes it so special. Its great that they changed the setting for you. It's nice to find a jewelry store that will really be accommodating. I bet you have a beautiful ring. =-)
