Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad

I love my laptop. But if I actually use it on my lap, it tends to get hot. Real hot. Obviously, I needed a cooling fan. I went to Circuit City and asked them to recommend a good fan for my laptop, and the Belkin is what they said was their best selling fan. I noticed that the packaging stated that CNet had given it a top rating in 2007, and with those two recommendations, I made my purchase.
When I got the Cooling Pad home, it was easy to connect to my laptop. It connects directly to the laptop with a USB cable and so the laptop powers it. It started working right away and Ive never had a hot laptop in my lap since!
Another great feature about this cooling pad is that it is very comfortable in my lap. In fact, I think it is more comfortable than the laptop itself because it is contoured.
Im happy with my purchase and have probably extended the life of my laptop by keeping it from overheating.
Update On Jul 28, 2009: The test of time is proving that this was a good investment. Nine months later, my cooling fan is still going strong and keeping my laptop cool.
What a great idea; I will be looking at this for my laptop as soon as possible.
My laptop gets really hot. In fact, I never use it on my lap. It is more of a "bed top" :) I will have to pick up one of these. Thanks much!
my laptop gets hot too so i need to put something on my lap or my note pad on the table or somthing like that.Looks like my problem gonna be solved.Thanks for sharing the info and experience !!
looks very nice, though I kind of like the comfort of a warm laptop.
I have the same problem with my laptop, maybe I should try a cooler!!
