Bella Greetings Occasional Greeting Cards By cnt24 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I'm one of those people who really hate greeting cards. They are expensive and you can only use them once. Once they're read, what are you supposed to do with them? Store them? Tear them up for craft art? I've solved the expense problem by purchasing Bella Greeting Cards at my local Dollar General.
Bella Greeting Cards are only one dollar at Dollar General. The retail price marked on the back of my card is USA $3.50, Canada $4.25. I believe the retail cost because I've purchased Hallmark and American Greetings for above that.
As far as quality goes the Bella Greeting Card stacks up really well to the major brands. The cards are printed on your standard greeting card paper. The print quality looks good and they use colorful inks ranging from muted tones to metallic. Some cards are embossed to give them three-dimensional details. The only downside is they don't seem to have greeting cards with tissue, appliqué, or booklet details. However, you can find tri-fold cards.
I say if you're going to give someone a card, you need to check out the Dollar General stock. The Bella Greetings have cards for every occasion and the price can't be beat.

What a cute card & great idea to get these at the Dollar Store!
See it is possible to find reasonably priced greeting cards! :)
I really like the teddy bear card you posted. Too cute!
Good to know - I'm always on the lookout for inexpensive cards of good quality.
You've hit on one of my pet peeves- Cards are supposed to be special, but people usually look at them for a few days and then trash them. What a waste!
