Ben Harper travels with new company on this album. While I love the sound of the Innocent Criminals dearly, I must give impressed praise to the collaboration between Ben Harper and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Both accomplished performers in their own circles, this was truly an inspired meeting of the minds. If you do not who Ben Harper is, you should find out. Diverse in both his music and his vocal ability, this man can put on a show. He doesn't let his fans down on "There Will be a Light."Certainly, with the addition of the Blind Boys, is more soulful than some of Harper's other work. His voice was made for this kind of music, this pleasing and hopeful love kind of just immerses your soul as you sit and listen to Ben Harper and his friends sing you songs.
