I have seasonal allergies.I am also allergic to Tetracycline and Vibramycin.I discovered Benadryl when I was prescribed Tetracycline for acne breakouts.
My physician prescribed the Tetracycline for an acne breakout.I went to the pharmacy and purchased the entire prescription.Came home and took one capsule.I began to itch and swell.My physician recommended Benadryl and told me how much to take.Within minutes, the swelling had gone down and the itching completely stopped.
Benadryl is an amazing product.It works very quickly and effectively.I would recommend Benadryl for anyone who suffers with seasonal allergies or has allergic reactions.One drawback however, when taken, you must be prepared to sleep for a while.

Some people, myself included, react the opposite way to Benadryl. It makes me nervous and hyper. Needless to say, I avoid taking it.
Benadryl is a good med for allergic reactions but it does make some people very sleepy. I take one Benadryl and I am out like a light.
I keep this on hand for emergency care of allergic reactions. It can be a lifesaver. But for regular use it just either knocks me out or makes me way to jumpy.
Believe it or not after a while, your body becomes used to the sedation because my son and I can both now take this medication at the normal dose and function just fine. Benadryl is one of my favorite meds too...excellent for allergies!
Do they make a non-drowsy variety? I'm glad this works so well for you.
