Best Mineral Makeup Out There! By irin997 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I decided to try out Bare Minerals foundation after seeing countless infomercials on TV. I began researching and my research led me to Sephora.com and their selection of Bare Minerals products. I found the "Get Started" kit which contained two different colors of foundation, the mineral veil, a warmth (similar to blush or bronzer), a blush brush, foundation brush, and concealer brush. The kit also came with a foundation primer, an instructional guide, and an instructional DVD. Not too bad for around $60! The value is over $120! After using this kit for just a week, I was hooked.

Since I first began using Bare Minerals I've noticed so many changes in my skin. My skin tone has improved and evened out, blemishes are fewer and further in between, and my makeup no longer feels heavy; in fact, I feel like I don't wear makeup at all! The mineral powder goes on flawlessly and blends so well that you don't have to worry about the dreaded foundation/chin line. The concealer brush hides blemishes and dark circles and the warmth warms up my skin tone. The mineral veil completes the look, sets in the foundation, and minimizes oil and pore size. All in all, the foundation colors in the kit lasted about 3 months and the warmth, I still have, almost 2 years later! The brushes are still going strong.

I normally order my refills through Sephora.com which also supplies 3 free sample products. The standard size foundation costs $25.00 and lasts about 5 or 6 months, a bit longer over the winter months as I do not have to apply very often. The mineral veil sheer powder lasts much longer, about 7 or 8 months. Overall, switching to Bare Minerals has been the best thing I've done for my skin in a long time!
