This is a wonderful camp. Located about an hour east of Bakersfield in California, this working residential ranch camp is a great place to send your children for one or more of the two-week sessions offered during each summer. The staff are carefully selected by the experienced camp directors, chosen for their leadership abilities, their personalities, and they are all excellent role models for the campers. This camp is outdoorsy and rustic, children ages 6-15 sleep with their own age groups in designated sleeping areas (shown in picture) literally outdoors on all sides, but with a roof to protect from the rare occasion of rainfall. The camp includes many outdoor activities, 3 full meals a day and snacks, (all made from healthy food primarily grown right on the ranch, from corn to beef!) and a place to learn and grow for however much time they spend there. This is a camp that when one returns to it, one feels as though one has come "home."
