Better Homes Garden Cook's Companion By Chenault on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased the Better Homes And Gardens Cook's Companion because I can use all of the help I can get in the kitchen. This is filled with kitchen tips and ideas, it is like a calander, every day you flip the page and will find another tip or idea waiting on you.

I never flip my pages, and to be honest, this has been a useless companion for me, but it is cute and everyone always comments on the cook's companion when they enter my kitchen. Granted, it is usually a comment like "Uh, you do know it is not June... right?"

Some of the ideas and tips are like this "..If you are short on half and half, substitute 1 tablespoon of melted butter plus whole milk to make one cup."

Considering I don't do a lot of cooking this cook's companion is more of a decoration than anything, it would be better suited for someone who enjoys cooking I guess. I do think the style and design are cute. I probably won't purchase another Better Homes And Gardens Cook's Companion in the future.
