Bio Groom Anti Itch Gel For Pets By uaezarb on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My dog Ike has an allergy that comes on every August for about a month. During that time I give him an antihistamine, like the vet recommends, but it doesn't seem to completely alleviate the itch. I found a product at my local pet store called Bio-Groom anti-itch gel that I decided to try because it says it is a veterinary formula. I have found that this gives him instant relief when nothing else seems to help.

This anti-itch gel comes in a 2 oz bottle that has a narrow tip that makes it easy to apply to the skin. It doesn't sting, even when he has scratched the area raw. It can be applied as often as needed. This is also good for keeping pets from biting at a wound because it contains an ingredient called Bitrex, which has a bitter taste.

If your pet has any skin problems or wounds, I would highly recommend you try this product. It really works!

The anti-itch gel sounds great. I'm sure that your dog is relieved by it. I noticed that our Beagle has problems with allergies. I am going to check out this anti-itch gel the next time she has a flare up. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

I have a dachshund that's sensitive to a lot of things. This might be good to have.
