Bioshock By Drazen X By DrazenX on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Bioshock is the story about a man who enters the underwater city of Rapture after a plane crash. Once inside, the player roams the once prosperous city looking for clues as to what happened and why. The graphics in this game are absolutely amazing, especially the water. The mid 1900's art style is present and the gives the environment a dark and gloomy atmosphere. The gameplay is also brilliant. You are granted special powers called plasmids, that you can upgrade along the way, making every single encounter with enemies different than the one before it. The story is one of the best ever told. It hooks you in and never lets go of you. There are plot twists every step of the way, which all build up to a dramatic and revealing ending. The game Bioshock lacks a multiplayer mode, which I feel could have made Bioshock even better. The different weapons and plasmids would have made the multiplayer outstanding. Bioshock definetly deserves a rent and a complete play through, but does not have to be bought for full retail price because of the lack of multiplayer. Although the plasmids add much replayability, I feel that it is not enough to warrant buying the full game.
