The Bissell Proheat 2x cleans our carpets very well. We use it once a month to get rid of stains in the carpet as well as get rid of anything left behind by our regular vacuum. It is easy to maneuver despite it being a little on the heavy side. It has a great handle and can be used by those who have bad backs. It does take time to use it since it uses water. It is well worth the time. The water tank is not hard for an adult to use but is too hard for my two year old to operate so she can't take it off. For me that is great because she can take the canister off of my regular vacuum. The cord can be plugged into the middle of my living room and it can reach all of the dining room which is next to it. On the other side is our guest bedroom and it can reach all of that room also. I also use it on our couch to get rid of the unwanted trash that is under the cushions. It doesn't take up too much space. It has a rap around handle for storing the cord.
