The best thing about this vacuum is that you can lift off the canister and carry that around to clean stairs or other hard to reach areas that you couldn't normally reach with an upright.

The vacuum is very easy to use and pretty powerful. I have two Akitas, so this vacuum has to deal with massive amounts of dog hair when the dogs are blowing their coat. I do have to rinse out and/or change the filters and the canister frequently, but it's so much easier to do that dealing with a bag.

The vacuum comes with several attachments for cleaning corners, upholstery, and hard flooring. I had to purchase an extra extender arm so that I wouldn't have to bend over to vacuum our hardwood floors. All extra attachments and replacement parts are available at the Bissell website, so that wasn't a big deal.

I never had any problem with this vacuum and overall, I'd say it was a great purchase for the price. I'd still be using it, but one of those dogs I mentioned chewed through the cord.
