Black And Decker Automatic Can Opener By okyots on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I felt kinda weird buying an automatic can opener. I'm in my mid-twenties and I thought that was the ultimate in laziness. Regular can openers hurt my fingers though, so I figured why not. This appliance isn't anything fancy. It took a couple tries to know where to place the can under the magnet and little bar that holds on to it, but it's very easy now. You flip the lid, place the can underneath and bring the lid down. The magnet holds onto the can and opens it as it spins around. When it's done, it's stops and the can doesn't fall. At first I didn't think the magnet would be strong enough, but it is. Sometimes it doesn't stop when it's done, it'll just keep spinning. I just unplug it since there's no on/off switch. I like it and if you have arthritis or anything, this will work great for you.
