Reviewing: Black And Decker 2 Slice Stainless Toaster
Purchased at: Target     Price: $29.99 USD

We bought the Black and Decker Toaster Model TR1200SB-2 recently and are very pleased with our purchase. Our new toaster has a brushed stainless steel finish on the front and back sides, and is black on the side.Weighing four pounds and measuring 11.8 x 7.9 x 8.7 inches, it is a 2-slice toaster with extra wide slots. The part I like best is the retractable cord.No wrapping the cord around the toaster before putting it away, and no long cords when I want to keep it out on the counter. The sleek look of this toaster really makes it stand out.

This Black and Decker toaster will toast all types of bread, waffles, pastries and bagels, whether we have them at room temperature or they come straight from the freezer.I find the controls easy to use because of a function indicator light. There is a frozen or reheat function, an adjustable browning levels, and a defrost option. The toaster slots are extra wide and have self-adjusting guides.Another great feature is an auto eject crumb tray. Our old toaster did not have one of these, but keeping the toaster clean with this tray is a breeze.I don't need to turn the toaster upside down to shake the crumbs out. There is also an extra lift toast feature so if I want to eject the toast or bagel before the time is up, I can use this.

I like toasted bagels and cream cheese in the morning. With the bagel mode on this toaster it will brown the cut side of each bagel half, and just warm the outside. With our old toaster the slots were not wide enough and wouldburn the outside each time. Now I'm off to work, with a perfectly toasted bagel in minutes.

Cleanup of the stainless steel finish is as easy as a little spray of glass cleaner and wiping the sides down with a sheet of paper towel. The retractable cord makes storing this toaster in our pantry very easy, especially when I need our limited counter space for other appliances.

This Black and Decker toaster comes with a 2 year limited manufacturer warranty, but if it's anything like our old toaster, it will last forever!I would highly recommend this toaster if you need to buy a new one.The price of this toaster was $29.99 but I have seen it as high as $39.99, so look around for the best price online or at a local store.

I'll be eager to hear how this works out. We've had very bad luck with toasters.

I think our last one lasted 20+ years (can't remember the brand) so I'm hoping we made a good choice with this one. So far, we have not had any problems but will keep you updated.

I just love the look of stainless steel.. It's a selling point on its own.

I was looking at this particular toaster a few weeks ago (I actually threw our other toaster out (white) cause I wanted black/stainless steel when we moved) :) Instead, hubby thought we should try something we'd never had before - a toaster oven. I think I'd still like a toaster for those times you just want a couple slices of toast or something. I just might pick this one up. Thanks for the info.

I have a toaster but am looking for a new one. The price sounds great. The only problem is I need four slots instead of two. Great review.
