Black And Decker Toast R Oven By Tony on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Recently our trusty toaster oven reached the end of its life. This called for a replacement. We ended up getting a Hamilton Beach 4 slice toaster oven as a gift and were excitited to have a new oven. Well this unit was horrible. It didn't maintain a constant temperature, so things got burnt and toasted unevenly.

So we had to ditch the new unit and go get another one. Our old unit was Black and Decker, so we got the cheapest one we saw. I always opt for simplicity over many unneeded features. So far, this unit has been much better. It toasts evenly and to desired darkness and when used as an oven, cooks as it should.

This unit is very simple in design. It has two dials, one for temperature and another for a timer. The inside has one shelf that extends when the door is open. It also comes with a cooking tray. The exterior is stainless steel. The only negative comment I have about this model so far is that the outside of the oven gets extremley hot when used and afterwards. So hot, you can not dare touch anything besides the handle.

For someone looking for a simple to use toaster oven, I recommend this model over many other more expensive ones.
