Black Decker Easy To Use Food Steamer By nightwing on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is a great appliance to have. I am pretty much completely useless in the kitchen, with boiling pasta being the most complex thing I can do. I was looking to add more healthy vegetables to me diet and this device helps me to do just that.

It comes with an instruction panel that completely explains everything you need to do to steam just about anything. In addition, printed on the product itself is a little cheat sheet for how to steam some of the more popular things like broccoli or cauliflower. The variations being how much water to add and how long to steam for.

The device also cooks rice, but I haven't worked up the nerve to try that yet. Another added feature is the flavor scenter. It is a place to put herbs or spices to add flavor to whatever you are steaming. The book gives recommendations on what works best with certain foods, for people like me who wouldn't know.

This is a great product. I am sure that it would be useful for all, but I am especially pleased that it is so easy to use for inexperienced people like myself.

Great cooks have to start somewhere, this sounds like a good kitchen item.
