Black Decker Toast R Oven By Jennifer Claerr on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I believe that toaster ovens are absolutely necessary. You can't beat the value of Black & Decker Toaster Ovens. My Toast-R-Oven has lasted for years, and very few changes have been made to the model over the years. It's a fairly simple device. It has an oven/bake function which allows for preheating. There is a toast function also which allows a range of toasting from light to dark. The broiling tray which came with it has a small metal rack which fits inside. The very top of the toaster oven is brushed stainless steel.

The only real complaints I have about this toaster oven are difficulty of cleaning, and the rather early breakage of the little plastic piece which goes over the indicator light. The brushed stainless becomes very hot and anything which touches it bakes right on and is hard, although not impossible to remove. there is a small trap door on the bottom which opens for cleaning, but it tends to gather grease, which is baked on and can be hard to scrape off.

Overall this is a very nice toaster oven, however, which has given me very few problems.
