When it comes to yoga mats, there is simple and there is nice. A combination of the two is hard to find at a reasonable price that isn't cheap. I think I found that mat.
The Black Diamond Yoga Mat provides the user with a working surface that is approximately 2 feet by 6 feet. The mat I tried was grey/charcoal in color, and had a smooth surface to lay/exercise on. The best part of this yoga mat is the underside-it is thick, comfortable and sticky. How is it sticky? It is a non-stick surface on the bottom that keeps it in place on a wood floor better than any other mat I have used. And for those of you who do Yoga or any floor routines, you know how important that is in maintaining position and exercise technique.
The only downside to this mat is the lack of variety. If you like a lot of color choices, I don't think you will find more than black available. It is not a problem with it from a function standpoint, it is just something to keep in mind.
Overall, a good mat to use if you are looking for a simple, effective Yoga Mat.

You are so right-it's so important to have a mat that will "stick" to the floor! I have a hot pink mat that is like your's & love it!
I like the fact that it doesn't slide around on the floor, however, it probably won't help me get into those Yoga positions! lol!
Colour doesn't really matter to me in a mat. I'd rather have one that stays put like this one does, and have it be comfy in black, than have a bright red one that is useless.
I have never tried yoga. I find it very interesting. Thanks for sharing about this yoga product.
Lack of variety or color choices are very minor , what is more important is comfortable and texture.
I need a new mat,thats for the heads up.
