Blackberry Curve
By thelsonr onI Figured its time to get a new phone. Since I am not far away from college, a smartphone would be ideal to have. I choose the Blackberry curve for its brand name and price. Cingular had a deal for the curve (99.00).
As soon as I go into the the store, what catches my eye immediatly is the camera. The Blackbery Curve has a 2 mega pixel camera; most phones come customary with a 1.2 or 1.3 megapixel camera on them. This is a huge improvement for the blackberry because prior to 2005, it was pure fiction to hear of a blackberry with a camera.
The next thing that got my attention was its sleek and conservative design. This was no regular device. Iits control button wasn't a button, but rather a wheel. I ask one of AT&T's representatives about the wheel and he said that "RIM plans to change the phone game with new advancements to the Blackberry." The blackberry has also added an expansion slot to the phone, which is actually inside of the phone (behind the battery) to strenghen your memory device from theft.
Some flaws of the blackberry include a watered down internet browser. But this can easily be upgraded with a program called opera mini. Another flaw is that the curve is is not a 3G phone which basically means no Youtube videos.
Overall, I give the Blackberry Curve a 4 out of 5 and reccomend it if you are only intrested in a smart phone and not a multi media device perse', this is the phone for you.
