Blogging For Dummies Makes Blogging A Breeze By momincharge on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased the book Blogging for Dummies because I was interested in starting my own blog. I wanted to learn the ins and outs of blogging without spending hours online searching for detailed information about blogging. Blogging for Dummies packs all of the necessary information into just under 400 pages.

Author Brian Hill covers nearly every aspect of blogging. For basic beginners he explains what blogging is and how it works. Hill's book investigates the differences between using a free blogging site like blogger or blogspot versus purchasing a domain and hosting the blog yourself. Both options, along the a hybrid option, are discussed and explained.

Blogging for dummies contains indepth information about setting up a blog, blog behaviors and the history of blogging.

I found Hill's information helpful and it did confirm my decision to host my own blog rather than go with a free blogging site for my main blog.

Hill's knowledge of the subject is obvious. If you are looking for a great reference about blogging, Blogging for Dummies is the book for you.
