Blood Diamond DVD

"Blood Diamond" is my dad's and my movie pick of the week. (For those of you who dont knwo we LOVE movies and have an AMAZING movie collection).

We chose this weeks selection because it had been nominated for five acadamy awards and because of my love for Leonardo DiCaprio. Accompanying him in this African thriller are Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou.

Its an epic tale of the 1999 Serra Leone blood diamond epidemic in Africa.

I wont give you most of the details because you probally know most of the story just from the media but the rest should be experienced along with the movie as you see the hardships and devistations that occured.

Overall, I would watch this movie again as I add it to my collection. The only problem I did have with it was how graphic it was, but of course that's what makes it a masterpeice.

I do suggest that you beware when you watch this movie. It is very graphic and intense and upsetting to most (including myself and my family).
