The 6 speed manual transmission BMW 540i E39 is described by critics as 'more bang for the buck'. The car is very fast for it's class with a very high torque (325 ft-lbs), good power output (300 hp, 4.4 L, 32V) and an easily achieved top speed of approx. 250 kph (155 mph). As a luxury saloon car it excels, featuring pinched leather upholstery, trip computer, airbags, anti-lock brakes, traction control, power steering, power windows, moon roof, climate control and room for 255/40R18 tires on the back axel and 235/40R18 on the front.
