I was never really into Bobby Valentino. He was just another one of those singers you heard a single or two from and forgot about pretty soon. For me that single was "Slow Down". Sure it wasn't that great, but he's voice was a whole lot better. After hearing that he had a new CD out I knew I had to get my hands on it. Lucky for me, my friend had a copy.

After listening to it I have to say it exceeded my expectations. The truth was, I didn't really have any expecations for Bobby V what so ever. He was basically a blank slate and this was his try out in my realm of music. After giving him a chance, I have to say I am pretty happy I did.

One of my biggest problems is he a bit over focused on the ladies. Some of things he says make you wonder if someone said that to you how would feel. I know everyone has a speciifc taste on what they like, but Special Occasion only makes him seem girl crazy.

Most of the tracks are decent, but I have heard better. Give him a shot, maybe you will like him more than I did.
