Bocce anyone?

I was over at a friends house through out this week and played this game everytime. It was fun cause I was able to catch a great tan while I was having a blast. Bocce is my new favorite game. I actually went and bought a set to play at my mother's house with. My yard is too small or I would play there. My friend said she got it at Sports Authority for about $30.00 so I am gonna be getting one very soon.

The rules say to play on soil, but it works on grass too. You are supposed to throw the smaller of the balls, called the jack into a circular area about 5 meters wide.Then depending on how many people or teams or playing you are supposed to take turn throwing your team balls to see who can get closer. Whoever has their balls closest to the jack ball they get to throw again or try and knock the jack ball further away. The closer you get the more points you get. You can play by points or other means. We made it into a drinking game, but you are just supposed to get points.

I had fun because I am always up for a good competition and it made you think trying to get the jack ball away. This was the first time that I had ever played and I really enjoyed it. I felt like I belonged in a foreign country in a big dress with a mint julip. I will be getting one on my next visit to the sports store.
