Bodycology's Vanilla Buttercream

I love the smell of vanilla.For years it's been my go-to scent because it is so light, subtle, sweet, and feminine.Well, the Bodycology take on the scent turns that definition right on its head!

Vanilla Buttercream by Bodycology is a body mist, meaning it is a less-concentrated scent intended for all-over use on the upper body.It comes in an 8 oz./236 ml. bottle (which should last about four months), for only $6.97.The price is right, but the scent is all wrong.

Instead of light and subtle, this mist takes centre stage instantly.The first time I used it, I felt like I was being slapped in the face by an angry vanilla plant!lolOne spray filled the entire bedroom.

On top of being too strong, it also lacked the usual feminine charm.I was expecting a confident 'feminine allure', and instead I got '3-year-old's Birthday Party.'It smelled exactly like vanilla frosting!

After two days, I decided that this simply wasn't something I would get used to.Plain and simple; I don't like it.I plan on returning it, or if that fails, using it as an air freshener in the kitchen!

While it definitely wasn't for me, there are some good things going for it.The price is right, it goes on nicely, and it lasts a really long time without needing to be reapplied.

So I guess if you like the idea of smelling like a birthday cake, this body mist is a good buy.Otherwise, I recommend trying a different brand.
