Reviewing: Carole Lewis The Mother Daughter Legacy

I was given this book as a gift. I have my own daughter and our pastor and his wife thought this would be a fitting gift for me. And indeed it was!

Carole Lewis effectively wrote the lessons that she learned from her grandmother that were passed down to her own granddaughter, Cara Symanck, who is also the co-author of the book.

I really learned a lot from the book especially in the way of loving my child. I love my child, as every mother does, but sometimes we don't know that our actions are actually tearing up our children. Ask anyone that has ever been a child, and that includes yourself.

And I am thankful for this book because the principles presented are not materialistic but rather biblically sound principles. I am a Christian so I can appreciate the contents of the book. But even if a person is not a Christian, I think every mom would like to leave a loving legacy to their daughter. So if you are a mom who would like to shape her child to become a person of values, this is the book for you.

This will really strengthen the bond that you have with your daughter specifically.

Your words and insight are so true. Being a Youth Pastor we see how tore up kids are inside - no matter how tough or bad they may appear. Mostly from a lack of communication with their parents. It was hard for me to raise our teenage son (who is my stepson), but what I learned from those years helped me to be more aware in seeing beyond the exterior of these kids and reach out to help them cope and also make amends with their parents. I know this book is geared towards daughters but I am sure it will help with sons to.
